The company introduced a unique pricing policy of “Your Logo, Your Price” that allows the customers to determine the price for their logo designs. It was a brand new site and was Sandboxed by Google. The site had very little content and the navigation structure was not at all SEO friendly. The site had only the home page indexed in Yahoo and MSN.

Methodology Followed:
We developed quality content for the website targeting important keywords. In this case we did not concentrate on the keyword “logo design” because the search market was almost saturated by the major players fighting for that term. Through extensive keyword research we noticed that keywords like “Corporate logo design”, “custom logo design”, “Cheap logo design” etc had a decent search volume every month and would cumulatively make up a similar if not more than the search volume for “logo design”. Moreover, these terms were more specifically targeted to this business. We also modified the site navigation structure to improve crawling and indexing by the search engine bots. The site was submitted to all leading directories. Extensive effort was put in to get inbound links.

Results:
MSN was the first to respond. We were hitting the first page for “corporate logo design”, our main keyword, within 45 days of initiating the campaign. Yahoo was also quick to pick up and we were on the Yahoo Search first page in another 30 days time. We were making it big in MSN and Yahoo and were on first page on both these search engines for multiple keywords by the end of the third month.

It took us around 6 months to get out of the Google Sand Box. However, once we were out, our relentless effort paid off. We were on the 2nd page for Corporate Logo Design by the end of the 6th month in Google and the site’s home page also showed a Google Page Rank of 6.

With continuous effort we have maintained and improved the rankings continuously. We have also improved rankings on “logo design” and now we are on first page of all major search engines for 90% of logo design related keywords.
